EY Technology is a global organization that works with our internal clients, to provide IT support and solution to client teams, internal support functions and global projects and programs. Over the next few years, GDS Poland will increase the number of IT professionals in its center to develop and support EY’s business and internal applications. These professionals include IT project managers, business analysts, software architects, infrastructure engineers.
EY Technology team maintains and enhances EY’s IT infrastructure and works for our internal clients across the globe. You will work with EY locations, supporting our service lines and key business processes or be part a dedicated IT team handling cross-organizational initiatives and transformational projects.
The Global IT Learning Leader provides oversight of a broad variety of technology learning initiatives across IT Services, enhancing and adoption of technology tools for both IT professionals and end-users. Responsible for initiating, planning, executing and monitoring multiple learning and development initiatives of varying complexity from needs assessment through delivery.
Leads the development of overall strategies for key technical learning and development initiatives that address IT Services’ greatest area of need
Identifies learning needs across the IT Services organization and develops plans to deliver technical learning
Creates, develops and manages technical learning initiatives by consulting and interfacing with functional and technical
Responsible for promoting a continuous learning culture throughout IT Services through the delivery of consistent, industry leading learning
Leads team in the implementation of technical learning initiatives, acting as a facilitator ,to bring about collaboration and knowledge sharing across IT Services
Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders; manages stakeholder expectations; negotiates with and influences sponsors/stakeholders on technical learning initiative issues
Makes certain that IT learning reflects best practices in content writing and visual design to meet the user experience needs of a technically skilled workforce
Directs technology content of orientation program for all EY new hires
Communicates available technical learning through a variety of vehicles,: Community Home Space, newsletters, Transition Operations Manual
Negotiates contracts and implements procurement of commercial learning for both IT professionals and end-users (e.g. vended learning, Microsoft eLearning for end-user to EY’s Learning Management System, technical web-based learning for IT professionals)
Responsible for IT Services Learning guidelines and adherence to IT Services development values
Identifies and adjusts solutions to meet the needs of many, as decisions often impact the entire team and potential others involved in learning. This requires not only the ability to influence at all levels of the organization to gain support, but also to understand when a solution needs to be adjusted to meet the needs of the majority
Manages multiple projects simultaneously
Establishes plans, determines priorities and prescribes the processes needed to achieve the objectives; makes complex decisions related to multiple, often interrelated learning initiatives
Routinely faced with problems that have not been encountered before and must be able to identify challenges and potential issues early, consider various possible courses of action and consider their consequences before taking or recommending further steps in order to address them in a timely fashion
To qualify for the role you must have
Degree at university level
English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication
10+ years of related work experience, within a technical organization , professional services environment and/or learning organization
Knowledge and experience with Global Learning & Development practices and environments
Ability to lead and motivate teams, including multi-cultural, cross-functional and virtual teams
Possesses strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Demonstrates project leadership and time management skills
Managerial skills including but not limited to delegating, coaching, defining expectations
Experience in problem solving and innovation
Possesses strong negotiation/mediation and influencing skills.
Ability to work in all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop high performing teams; lead and influence cross-functional teams
Ability to mediate escalated problems appropriately
