Due to rapid growth of banking operations in Warsaw, our Citi Custody Operations are looking for Settlements Expert to join our Team.

The Custody Pre-Settlements team role is to validate the billing instructions on securities (stocks, bonds, warrants, unit trust etc.) In terms of SWIFT requirements or basic rules in a given market (check if the agent's code matches, whether the security identifier provided exists, etc.)

Successful candidate will:

  • Process securities transaction in accordance with client deadlines, SWIFT standards, local market standards and internal procedures.

  • Resolve ad hoc queries from Customer Service officers, global and local settlements teams and account managers regarding the status of trades at various phases of the settlement cycle

  • Update static data in custody systems and preparing various reports

  • Actively engage in process improvement initiatives

  • Ensure all issues / potential issues are escalated appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Support team and new employees in daily work,

  • Review team’s performance,

  • Have opportunity to take part in additional tasks and projects.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert.

Skills & competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in institutions linked to capital markets.

  • Knowledge in construction and functioning of different financial instruments.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Computer skills; MS Office environment knowledge (very good knowledge of Excel).

  • Analytical skills.

  • Good team player able to build strong professional relationships.

  • Ability to work in face paced environment under tight deadlines.

  • Very good work organization; punctuality and timeliness.

  • Ability to work in high stress fluid environment.

  • Focused on details.

  • SWIFT knowledge - advantageous.
