Key Responsibilities

Join the Dell EMC Isilon Engineering organization and be a leader on a growing Sustaining Engineering team. This exciting role provides the opportunity to lead a team that solves real customer impacting issues in all areas of the product daily and enables broad understand of Isilon scale-out technology. Be an integral part of a highly performing and visible team that drives total customer experience and customer satisfaction!

  • Builds and manages a team that works closely with the Global In Market Engineering Sustaining teams, Product Development, Product Management and the Customer Support teams to insure product quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Works with customer support and applies customer feedback to drive product improvement through the technical growth, process and tools.

  • Acts as a results-oriented and technical leader, demonstrates expertise in systems troubleshooting and product centric solutions issue investigation.

  • Designs and implements requirements for future OneFS products, particularly with regards to supportability and sustainability.

  • Ensures proper resources are engaged on customer impacting issues, understands current status and next steps and be able to communicate those updates clearly and concisely.

  • Prioritizes and organizes incoming issues into short term tactical migrations and long term strategic development plans.

  • Participates in on-call rotation for non-business hour engineering coverage.

Essential Requirements

This role is for a dynamic individual who wants to join an innovative, fast paced team located in Poland redefining the storage landscape in scalable storage.

  • Master degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior management experience and minimum of 2 years of Systems Administration experience.

  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, are required for interaction with team members, senior members of the staff and other organizations.

  • Storage (preferably NAS), File System, Protocol and Networking experience.

  • Demonstrates expertise and continued desire to lead a highly cross-functional organization with remotely located and international team members.

  • Demonstrates drive and ability to achieve goals and possess a proven track record for execution.

  • Strong operational, project management and problem solving skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • Presentation skills: be able to present roadmap, a simple fix, or an endemic problem: clearly, concisely, and with purpose.

  • Conflict resolution skills: be able to work between teams, contributes to unity across organizations.

  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and new products.

  • Ability to context-switch while ensuring the highest quality of work.
