For our office in Warsaw we are searching for a Legal Counsel Central Europe
Legal and regulatory constraints that apply to the distribution, sale and marketing of alcohol beverages in Central Europe in particular in Poland make provision of legal support challenging.
As Legal Counsel you will support our Regional Counsel and the company’s activity and risk management by:
providing day-to-day legal advice,
legal advisory and support for all Diageo Central Europe functions,
drafting and approving contracts,
drafting other documents, including powers of attorney, regulations, resolutions and declarations,
ensuring compliance of marketing activities with local legislation and internal Diageo policies,
ensuring compliance of commercial activities with competition law, anti-bribery laws, data privacy and others,
representation of Diageo in courts and authorities,
ensuring proper registration and circulation of contracts and other documents,
archiving contracts and other documents according to Diageo’s policies,
support of compliance agenda, including creation of policies for Diageo Central Europe,
providing trainings to Diageo employees,
cooperation with Diageo Legal Team,
contacts with external law firms,
administrative support like processing invoices etc.
University degree, Faculty of Law
Specialisation in civil law, commercial, data privacy and labour law
Legal experience at least 3 years
Very good Polish and English and ideally also fluent in German language
Legal advisor/attorney at law will be an asset
Proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, Lex
