AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP Enablement Associate Manager – Medical Evidence and Observational Research (MEOR) in Warsaw, Poland

Key Role Objective

The Enablement Associate Manager will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of Medical Evidence and Observational Research (MEOR) processes and systems strategy to enable evidence generation within Global MEOR, OBU and the Local Markets. This role will support current processes, systems, tools, and technology and help to identify needs across MEOR, OBU and Local Markets. Additionally, this role will play an integral role in the ongoing operations, maintenance and modifications of key MEOR systems, including but not limited to Evidence Connect, VisionTracker, IMPACT, ACCORD, OPAL and SharePoint Online. This role requires a hybrid skill set of technical ability, business acumen, and knowledge of evidence generation.

The role will support operational excellence by identifying and communicating opportunities for continuous improvement/build and maintenance of MEOR systems. In addition, the position will test new functionalities to ensure it meets defined business requirements and will conduct training sessions with users across GMA and in the markets to ensure proper utilization.

The Enablement Associate Manager has the unique opportunity to collaborate and build relationships within MEOR, GMA and with global colleagues in the local markets. The role will also work closely with internal IT partners and service support teams as well as external vendors to support system configurations, issue management, and continuous improvements and to address the day to day operational system needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support evidence generation needs in use of key MEOR and related processes, systems, tools, and technology

  • Conduct relevant process and system/tool trainings for Global and local market stakeholders;

  • Provide operational support to Global and local market stakeholders as needed

  • Support preparation of business cases, proposal requests and supplier selection

  • Participate in UAT process for all MEOR systems, tools, and technology

  • Escalate and manage issues within the system as required

  • Communicate system updates to key stakeholders

  • Liaise between MEOR and EUGG-IT and/or IT and other systems owners for all systems, tools and technology

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline

  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple enterprise IT systems, such as SharePoint Online, VisionTracker, IMPACT, ACCORD, Planisware (Opal/Planit)

  • Experience in supporting and rolling out new services & programs

  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels in various geographies as well as working independently

  • Strong work ethics and high integrity standards

  • Good organizational skills and experience; Proactively identifies risks and issues and possible solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to follow tasks through to completion

  • Demonstrated ability to interrogate, understand and apply project management data

  • High level knowledge/awareness of the overall pharmaceutical product development process, including stages of development and role of different functional areas.

  • Experience in working on a cross functional team in a matrix organization

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a team based organization

Preferred background

  • 3 years of relevant experience from within the pharmaceutical industry or similar large multinational organization

  • Clinical Operational experience

  • Programming experience or programming aptitude
