  • Supervisory of GD&T implementation on the technical documentation

  • Serving as GD&T subject matter expert

  • Continue building GD&T knowledge: Organizing and coordinating GD&T trainings (together with external training provider) across departments and locations in Corning Optical Communication; Coordinating the GD&T workshops locally and globally; Advising Technology engineers on how to use (encode) GD&T correctly; Advising GD&T recipients how to read the technical documentation

  • Build GD&T community of practitioners: Identify the talents; Propose and coordinate GD&T Expert development path; Promote GD&T across the organization; Host and coordinate GD&T workshops; Respond to the manufacturing concerns related to GD&T; Reporting the status of GD&T initiative to the upper management

  • Consequent improvement in regards to GD&T implementation and quality of mechanical design

  • Include GD&T as a part of product development process

  • Preparing the budget and cost control in regards to GD&T implementation and maintenance Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (preferably in mechanics), proficiency in GD&T

  • Very good understanding of technical drawing standards

  • Good understanding of CAD programs (CREO)

  • High communication skills (within the group and outside the group); ability to represent the group to the others

  • Analytical thinking and ability to solve the problems

  • Very good time management skills

  • Very good English (including technical language)

  • Understanding of SolidWorks
