TheCargill Animal Nutrition (CAN) Platform consists of 3 Business Units: CargillFeed & Nutrition (CFN), Cargill Premix & Nutrition (CPN) and CargillAqua Nutrition (CQN). CFN, CPN and CQN operate a global footprint of around 40businesses and close to 250 production locations. These businesses aresupported by a total of 7 global leveraged functions (Operations, RMS, SMT, finance,legal, HR and IT). CAN Operations has an Operational Excellence vision, basedupon an Integrated Supply Chain approach and creates value by providingexpertise and support in the area of general operations management;environment, health & safety (EHS); food safety, quality and regulatorycompliance (FSQR); supply chain management; process technology and projectmanagement.

TheOperations organization includes 3 Operations Directors (CFN, CPN and CQN)serving the CFN, CPN and CQN business units respectively. There areapproximately 9 Operations Leader roles in CFN (NA, LATAM, EMEAR, SEA, Korea,Vitenam, China, Russia and India). The Operations Director for CFN is part ofthe global CAN operations organization, reports to the CAN Director ofOperations with a dotted line to the CFN’s Group Leader and represents theoperations function on CFN’s leadership team. The Operations Director for CFNprovides functional leadership for the Operations Leads in approximately 9 CFNbusinesses with approximately 170 production locations in Latin America, NorthAmerica, Europe and Asia. In addition to that the Operations Lead for CFN willprovide leadership and coordination for Functional Leads (EHS, FSQR, SCM andprocess technology) supporting the CFN businesses.

TheCFN Europe organization is made up of 2500 employees and 36 productionlocations. These locations will serveour strategic customer segments of Baxter, Noah Poultry, Noah Swine and NoahDairy. The 36 locations have PlantManagers and teams to help serve these customers. The CE/RE Lead role will report directly tothe Manufacturing Excellence Leader. The CE/RE Lead will work side by side with our Plant Managers andteammates to drive results in base and non base capital execution, as well asachieve our maintenance and reliability strategy.

Principal accountabilities:

50% Capital Planning and Execution:

  • Lead capital planningand execute projects as needed.

  • Drive improved ProjectDelivery Process and Project Management Processes.

  • Execute the REDeliverables for Build Projects.Assistwith the development of technical specifications and best practices.

35% ProjectPortfolio Management:

With Manufacturing and Supply Chainleaders – develop robust plans using Production Excellence, ReliabilityExcellence and Continuous Improvement Processes to drive improved margins,safety, feed safety and business results through the use of process improvement& CAN tools.This would includeModel Mill, CANDO, MMv2.

15% Miscellaneous job duties:

Qualifications

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5 yrsexperience in a supervisory/management role.

  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, with abilityto become Black Belt within 2 years.

  • Managing complex projects with a highlevel of ambiguity.

  • Experience in effectively trainingothers at all levels in the organization on continuous improvement tools andprocesses.

  • 10 years in a Reliability Excellenceor Production Excellence role or operations management role.

  • Business fluency in English.

  • Strong PC skills (especially within the MicrosoftOffice suite).

  • ChallengesthestatusquowithBU/Functionleadershipandotherstakeholderstoexplorenewwaystoanalyzemeasure,executeandultimatelybringincreasedbusiness value.

  • Strong analytical skills.Directlycommunicatesandinformsstakeholdersforprojects withmediumtohighcostandrisktoprovideupdatesontheprojectobjectives,performancemeasures,issuesandrisks.

  • Usesadvancedcounselandknowledgetoremovebarriers toensurecompletionofprojectmilestones,andinfluences stakeholderstotakeaction.

  • Ability totravel – 30-50% as needed.

P r efer r ed Qualifications:

  • Advanced education/degree specifically in operations, engineering or other related field.

  • Lean/SixSigma Black Belt.

  • Strongbusiness experience and understanding of Cargill.

  • Clear understanding of both CANProduction System and Cargill’s Corporate Manufacturing Excellence System.

  • Workingknowledge of reliability practices or production excellence practice.

  • Knowledge/experiencein feed or food manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated knowledge in mapping and documentationtechniques.

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools andprocesses.

  • Previous experience with six sigma processes.

  • Lean Manufacturing Training.

  • Business fluency inanother language/cultural interactions preference.
