Parts & Service is a function within Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for Reduce “downtime” and increase “profitability” for the bus owner/owners. Aftermarket Project Management is a global function within Parts & Service, represented in Sweden, Poland, Brazil, Mexico and India.
We are now looking for Aftermarket Project Manager who have the passion to drive maintainability and improve uptime for our customers.
As an Aftermarket Project Manager you will lead the Aftermarket team from project initiation to the end of the project. You will secure the aftermarket deliveries in projects from our functions: Engineering & Information, Diagnostics & Embedded Systems and Global Service Training. You will represent the Aftermarket area in the Project Management Group. You will lead, plan and secure aftermarket activities to meet agreed project QDCF targets (Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature).
In this position you will be a member of Parts & Service Site Board and report to Parts & Service Site Manager.
Main activities and responsibilities:
Proactively leading, driving and following-up the aftermarket delivery of the project according to the DVP project handbook and decided support processes, managing the stakeholders, communicating and minimizing the risks
Manage risk to minimize impact on project, pro-actively escalate risks and concerns outside project team control to line management
Make all decisions needed, within delegated QDCF frames, established in cooperation with the Aftermarket Reference Group, to reach the project targets and requirements
Take an active role in developing future ways of working, with an end user and customer mind set
Closely cooperate with Global Function Manager and other Aftermarket Project Managers located in Sweden, Poland, Brazil, Mexico and India.
Required knowledge, skills & experience:
Master degree in engineering or equivalent competence
Experience from Project Management
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a merit
Experience from working in cross-functional teams
Aftermarket knowledge within the spare part or service area
Minimum 5 years of experience from aftermarket or product development within the automotive industry
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to coach and lead in a challenging environment
Pro-active and open mind set
Strong team player, self-starter and the ability to take initiatives
Ability to manage stakeholder relationships in a positive way
Fluent in English spoken and written
