IBM Procurement Category Manager with German in WARSZAWA, Poland

*Job Description We’re looking for the experienced candidates who will join IBM team to support our client in one of 4 areas: Logistic (e.g. full-service provider, forwarder, company mail systems, lost luggage, luggage repair, outsourced logistic services, etc) or Fleet Management (e.g. car-leasing, insurance, manufacturer, re-seller, car dealer, maintenance, petrol/gas/electricity, Fleet Management and agencies, tax systems, etc) or General Goods (including cross –commodity knowledge for medical services, office equipment, marketing, catering, trainings and documentation and scan services) or Consulting (including management consulting, employee consulting, staffing, corporate workforce).Responsibilities:

  • Owns primary responsibility to achieve client success against all contractual commitments at a category level (strategic and tactical) for the life of the contract

  • Provide category support

  • Responsible to understand category deliverables, savings commitments, milestones and obligations, and establish a project plan to meet each

  • Take leadership role in translating council developed sourcing strategies/playbooks into client specific sourcing initiatives

  • Develop client category charter, baseline and market intelligence documents, sourcing strategy and category management approach per the 7 step sourcing process

  • Prepare and manage Rfx in a cross-functional team

  • Develop integrated (tactical and strategic) category sourcing strategy which delivers short term savings and drives category transformation through time

  • Provide category leadership and direction to Category Sourcing Buyers

  • Responsible for ongoing category management (strategy management) activities including driving supplier performance, demand management savings and increasing category compliance

  • Communicate and negotiate with internal clients and suppliers through all levels of organization, primary interface to key category client stakeholders

  • Take work direction and guidance from Sourcing Leader

  • Ensure category work products and deliverables are compliant and audit ready

  • Drive category hands-free and catalog strategy

  • Identify, own, report on and deliver to all sourcing SLAs and KPIs (including savings)

  • Manage client stakeholder identification, buy in, and client escalations

  • Secure stakeholder support to bring spend under management

  • Establish & manage client dependencies to ensure optimal delivery results

  • Drive client approvals at each stage of the sourcing process

  • Primary interface with the client on the realization of their strategic sourcing objectives through implementation of transformational sourcing

  • Drive compliance management activities to support client compliance

  • Customer Satisfaction

  • Develop and gain agreement on an integrated procurement project plan to meet the Client objectives (identifies key deliverables, key dates/milestones, etc.)

  • Ensure issue tracking, resolution and communication

  • Ensure addressable spend is available in line with contract or renegotiate commit

  • Manage and deploy the different phases of the delivery model. Leverage the industrialized/standardized assets.

  • 5 years procurement experience in the specific category: Facility Management/ Logistic or General Goods or Fleet Management or Consulting

  • 2 years within a client facing environment

  • Strong presentation and analytic skills

  • Strong German language skills

  • Very good command of English

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and able to collaborate with different functions (e.g. HR, Legal, Finance, Controlling, Councils, internal services, end-user and suppliers)

  • Experienced in developing and implementing global Category Strategies

  • Experienced within a none top-down organization

  • Consultant background is needed; capable to identify savings opportunities, drive solutions and convince stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel Germany bi-weekly (Mon-Thur) and other destinations within Europe if required

  • Ability to build a sustainable network

  • Experienced in using e-sourcing, contract management, savings tracking tools

  • Experienced in reducing maverick buy within a large organization
