RSK Polska, part of the RSK Group plc, are looking to appoint a number of Junior to Senior Geo-environmental Engineer/Scientists to work in Poland. Candidates will be based either Warsaw. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing and overseeing both project investigations with a geotechnical and an environmental content, and also project management of disposal projects - seeing Projects through from commencement to completion. All Project work must be carried out with due diligence, adhered to by the RSK procedures & completed within the given cost budgets and time scales agreed. Good communication is required to inform/liaise with the client periodically with updates & any issues raised.
Consultant to Senior Geo-environmental Engineer/Scientist – Warsaw, Poland
It is expected that as a Consultant to Senior grade the candidate will have a good industry awareness and have very strong client interface with the ability to develop RSK Polska as multidisciplinary consultancy supporting a variety of clients in the Energy, Property and Commercial Sectors. You will have a strong project financial focus, be self-motivated have good organisational skills, exhibit a proactive approach, and work well within an international team environment. A primary role will be developing contacts with new clients, overseeing work completed by third party contractors and assisting in the creation of a relatively new team in Poland.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Typically requires a Chartered status or equivalent. Typically requires at least three years since first graduating and two years’ experience in environmental projects.
The candidates would be expected to be able to demonstrate significant further advances in professional abilities and be competent to take responsibility mentoring staff and taking a wider vision is business development and client care.
Would typically be a Chartered Geologist, Enginneer or Scientist, or be a corporate membership of another appropriate professional institution) eg ICE, IMMM or Polish equivalent).
Fluent English and Polish are essential. Other languages are advantageous.
Line Manager Responsibility
The Consultant to Senior Consultant will have overall report responsibility to locally based management who in turn report to the Central and Eastern Europe Manager (or nominated deputy) based in the UK. They will also be expected to manage large projects and take responsibility for building up and managing project staff, as well as to take instructions and appropriate guidance from Director grade staff. You will have a close working relationship with RSK Group Partners in Poland and elsewhere in Central and Eastern Europe.
