The SAP Snr Business Analyst will work closely with business partners and internal teams by providing technical and functional expertise and insight to deploy and execute complex process, data, and technology solutions for the SAP Commercial solution (SD/PP/MM/ACM/ CM / GTM/TSW). Snr Business Analysts are expected to have deep competencies in identifying the current state of processes, eliciting useful and harmful attributes of them, documenting models of the processes and facilitating stakeholder groups to consensus regarding new business process designs. He or she is skilled in identifying impacts and linkages to the business strategies, organization and its people, data and systems, business policies and business rules, as well as the physical assets of the business.
This position participates in the deployment of SAP supporting Commercial activities which supports and enables Cargill’s Commercial Processes for Cargill businesses. This includes Contract & Position management, Pricing, Trade execution (Order processing, TSW, Application & Settlement) & Invoice processing. This position will also collaborate and help support links to other process areas i.e. finance (FI, COPA) & Operations (Transportation, inventory, manufacturing, SCP). The position is part of the EMEA Regional Delivery Centre and the Global IT function.
Candidates for this position are expected to be experts in the process design and implementation space and have significant experience in key roles on large and complex IT projects This job requires a highly skilled analyst who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization, provide strategic thought leadership, lead and mentor others, drive results, provide process expertise, and make challenging decisions.
This job is expected follow the Cargill Project Delivery Process, Requirements Analysis and Solution Design process, and Enterprise Architecture framework.
60% Process & Solution Design/Deployment:
You will be part of an SAP deployment team supporting the deployment from initiation through the “go live” and “post go live” activities, including Requirements gathering, training, testing, Cutover and Hypercare, troubleshooting, data validation, and issue resolution. These activities require knowledge in one or more specialized areas and may require additional research and interpretation to determine issues.
You will lead and contribute to the problem solving of solution gaps and implementation issues complex and objective in nature requiring additional research and interpretation so that corrective actions can be developed and applied accordingly
You will advocate quality of solutions that meet or exceed defined business requirements for one or more departments within a business unit or function.
You will lead teams (either directly or indirectly) and guide, explain, and clarify solution options and influence business partner decision making to minimize the amount of project investment divergence from target architecture. Persuade senior internal and external stakeholders to accept new ideas, approaches, and concepts as required within a region.
You will evaluate multiple process solutions to business scenarios and form recommendations based on cost/benefit analysis, considering industry best practice and leveraging in-depth and broad knowledge over several business process areas in one or more countries.
You will provide Guidance and Quality Assurance during requirements and test phases to build perennial system(s) or instances of SAP for multiple business units
You will assist with cross-business/function process design efforts
20% Solution Assessment: Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
Requirements Gathering – You will assess Business Unit/Function needs, clearly eliciting, translating, and documenting business,functional and non-functional requirements for one or more complex process areas and communicating with influence and persuasion as necessary to reach agreement. Identify issues relating to missing or misinterpreted business requirements.
Process and System Analysis – You will lead and/or facilitate requirements discussions with key stakeholders.
Risk and Issue Assessment – You will identify, assess, and develop mitigation plans for complex to extremely complex risks and issues within a broadly defined and complex environment and escalate as appropriate.
You will collaborate with the BU/Function, Sr. Bu/Function and key project SMEs and Sr. SMEs to identify, analyze, interpret, and prioritize simple to extremely complex business requirements ensuring alignment with one or more process advisors and BU/Functions.
You will identify and actively influence to accept new concepts and the change management, communication, and training needs.
Both in depth and broad knowledge used to translate business requirements for medium to high complexity design specifications for one or more process, data, or technology areas in one or more countries.
10% Relationship Management:
You will act as a strategic liaison to multiple BUs/Functions
You will facilitate agreements among stakeholders to adopt a common solution
10% Any other duties as assigned:
You will provide input to high level estimations
You will lead and mentor less experienced staff, including coaching Cargill core values
University degree in Business, IT or equivalent experience
SAP SD /PP /MM /ACM /CM /GTM /TSW functional consulting experience (either direct or in a supporting role)
3 - 10 years’ business experience or related experience on medium to large scale SAP Implementation projects.
Completed at least 2 full SAP deployments
Experience working with ambiguity and a fast paced and changing environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical people.
Proven conflict resolution skills
Ability to understand our business, work across business units, be a team player and enjoy working in a team oriented environment.
Strong problem solving/decision-making skills.
Ability to lead and influence others, including senior level personnel
Skills in identifying and developing strategies to address change management issues.
Project demands may from time to time require work during non-standard business hours. An example would be during a system implementation at a plant which can happen only during scheduled downtime.
Up to 40% travel.
Master’s degree in Business or IT
Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Familiarity with Business Analyst Body of Knowledge (BABOK)
Experience with SAP Solution Applications additional to modules noted above (ECC, FICO, Sabrix, FSCM, GTS, Solution Manager)
Knowledge of and experience with Change Management
Familiarity with Cargill’s Project Delivery Process (PDP) Methodology
Familiarity with Agile methodology
Knowledge of Business Process Modelling tools and techniques.
