Principal Sales Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Linux Presales professional to support the sales team in selling our solutions to senior business and technical decision makers in major global corporations headquartered in Poland.
Oracle Open Cloud Infrastructure comprises Oracle Linux, Oracle VM, OpenStack, Spacewalk and other technologies. Oracle Linux and Oracle VM are the foundation of Oracle's Public Cloud, the base development platform for Oracle products, powers Oracle's internal development cloud and Oracle's Engineered Systems. Oracle is an active and significant Open Source contributor and makes open source products, including Oracle Linux freely available. Oracle provides commercial support for Oracle Open Cloud Infrastructure through our world class global 24x7 support and resolution in 145 countries backed by our dedicated Linux, OpenStack and other engineering teams. As a Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction, for Oracle Open Cloud Infrastructure products including Oracle Linux, Oracle VM, OpenStack.
Act as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants.
Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product and support future direction and overall Oracle solutions.
Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Requires deep understanding of Linux and virtualisation.
Good knowledge of Containers (esp. Docker), Cloud Services and Technologies (esp. OpenStack)
Experience working in a customer-facing environment (in a presales capacity) is essential.
A good understanding of opensource software and business models is preferred.
Self starter mentality, autonomous work style and motivation to contribute to team success are key elements of this role.
Bachelor degree or equivalent with more than five years prior business experience preferred.
Approximately 25% travel is required (domestic and international).
Fluency in English is essential

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
