Nokia is undertaking a large-scale service analytics and big data platform initiative called Nokia AVA and serving thousands to tens of thousands of internal and external users. This platform will enable Nokia and its customers to build the next generation of services for telecommunications and beyond, including transport, connected health and broader IOT. You will be joining a very dynamic and growing team of talented individuals, setting up state-of-the-art solutions for outstanding customer experience.
To provide agile product ownership to a development team responsible for delivery of high quality software solutions meeting the requirements of the business and aligning with product vision and strategy.
As the primary interface between the business and a large, multi-location development organization the product owner will work in a team of product owners and report to the head of Product Ownership. The product owner will have strong influence on the product vision and roadmap and be expected to have a deep understanding of business and development needs.
Delivery, maintenance and communication of product vision and release plans
Agile team backlog prioritisation
Definition of development user stories
Release plan status reporting
Gathering AVA platform requirements
Providing a voice of the customer to development
Interfacing with AVA customers, including Service Product Managers and Solution Architects in the Business Units, as needed to understand platform use cases and future requirements
Creating a value based backlog and release plan
Break down major requirements in to small incremental value-add features and prioritise with stakeholders
Contribute to business case development
Support the Analytics Competence Centre in developing communication, enablement and e2e solution consultancy
Be available to development teams to quickly answer queries or negotiate solutions
Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant previous experience of:
Product ownership within a large development organisation
Enthusiastic promotion of a software product including hands-on demonstrations
Agile development methodologies
Facilitation and communication with large technical groups and business users
Applicants should have:
Experience working in a large, multi-cultural, multi-location environment
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
5-10 years experience in telco, big data and/or cloud based software domains and strong data analytics industry knowledge
Ability to quickly understand technical issues and communicate with development teams
Ability to travel internationally
Business orientation and good understanding of Nokia organization and processes
Sound methodical skills with attention to detail and process requirements.
Ability to lead without formal power and line authority. Excellent presentation, networking and communication skills (especially in a multicultural environment). High energy, initiative, enthusiasm and persistence.
Bachelors Degree and/ or relevant equivalent experience
Agile Learner & Team player with high analytical skills
Recognized agile qualification such as CSPO
Excellent English language skills
