Position Responsibilities\Requirements:

The Requirements Engineer will be the key interface between the Banking clients and the FIS organization to be able to identify and refine client needs and articulate these to the FIS software production teams for implementation.

This is a newly created role with the objective of providing more direct and effective contact with the banks and continuing to ensure that we provide efficient and high quality service as we grow.

This role would suit a client focused individual with proven relationship management skills and a focus on detailed functional analysis, definition and scoping. We are looking for applicants with an excellent understanding of banking processes and requirements.

This position offers direct client interaction as well as broad internal exposure and the opportunity to be at the heart of the innovative changes that we are driving in Financial Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Build a best in class Requirement Analysis capability focused on adding business value for our clients;

  • Accountable for the maintenance and continuous improvement of Requirement Analysis process (approach and methodologies);

  • Operate in both a management and delivery capacity, working on business critical projects and change requests, also client proposals (pre-sales);

  • Complete the end to end engagement with Projects, taking accountability for the following stages that include: requirement analysis resource planning, oversight of problem statement creation, requirements gathering, requirement verification, requirement re-use, business case submission, project creation, business process engineering, offering clients innovative ideas

  • Build strong relationships with clients in order to take accurate and detailed requirements whilst understanding the future pipeline of work;

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that the design and development integrity is maintained;

Skills

  • Be able to demonstrate a strong track record being part as a strong team member for Requirement Engineering or (IT) Business Analysis within banking IT projects and service requests

  • Have demonstrable experience of delivering business change and IT projects on an end to end basis from pre-sales, project set-up, implementation, delivery and maintenance / services

  • Be emotionally intelligent with the ability to use innovative and creative methods in order to attain pertinent information from all stakeholders;

  • Have strong financial services acumen in order to put together robust business cases by understanding the requirements end-to-end, also deep identifying re-use and dependencies

  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail and the ability to implement and enforce best practice within teams;

  • Have experience in requirement engineering / (IT) business analyst methods for software.
