Job Summary

The Business Developer role is focused on generating and taking supplied leads; identifying, nurturing and qualifying sales opportunities to drive the pipeline of business for JDA EMEA in the assigned geography. This role will be responsible for the Retail and Manufacturing sectors within the assigned territories.

Major Responsibilities

  • Actively conduct lead generation activities to maximize market exposure and identify opportunities, whilst ensuring appropriate follow up and qualification of prospects/leads.

  • Work the manufacturing and retail verticals in EMEA and cover as many contacts as possible

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads via the phone, web, email, corporate events and direct mail campaigns

  • Generate suggested target marketing lists for discussion and agreement with sales prior to any Direct Marketing Communications and Sales activities and events

  • Actively participate in the innovation of new techniques and strategies for marketing JDA’s products in order to secure new accounts.

  • Participate in the first portion of the sales cycle by building relationships with key decision makers at targeted accounts.

  • Collect & analyze potential customer’s financial information, critical business processes and/or system needs.

  • Identify and qualify their project needs, budget, timelines, business issues and obstacles for hand off to the Customer Executive.

  • Overcome objections and effectively communicate JDA’s value propositions to key decision makers regarding appropriate JDA product offerings. Engage appropriate JDA resources as needed.

  • Make recommendations to customers on appropriate product and services options.

  • Participate in the vertical opportunity reviews and reach out and collaborate with the appropriate Account Managers in the assigned vertical

  • Inform sales of any information ascertained during customer or prospect contact that either effects the potential for successful lead generation or is market/competitor sensitive information

  • Achieve quarterly revenue generation goals set by sales management

  • Track all relevant activity in salesforce.com (including call activity, lead qualification details, lead pipeline, opportunity pipeline, etc.)

Required Skills

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Skilled and comfortable at reaching business to business decision makers and sourcing new business leads via both warm leads and cold calling

  • Able to communicate with senior business leaders to build relationships

  • Able to qualify, prioritise and objectively review sales leads to generate maximum effectiveness and return on time invested

  • Knowledgeable in lead management processes and experienced in contact management software

  • A track record of achieving results and driven to achieve quality results

  • Demonstrated professionalism. Effectively manage multiple priorities

  • Understand the software/IT industry

  • Understand Retail and/or Manufacturing industries across Europe

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in active listening, effective telephone skills

  • Excellent written English language skills - writing, grammar and punctuation

  • As a minimum, business fluency in English

  • Fluent in Polish, additional language skills are a plus
