ADD Poland/ ADD Czech offers the position Finance Manager Poland, Czech and Slovakia (office based. Preferred location: Warsaw or Prague).

The position reports directly to Controller Region East Abbott Diagnostics Division.

Primary objective of the position

Finance Manger will be responsible for providing financial guidance to the overall organization, as well as strategic and analytical support to Regional Financial Controller as well as to Region East Director and Customer Experience Managers in Poland and Czech.

The position requires an international profile and reports to the Regional Financial Controller of SEE, has significant interaction with countries Commercial Heads located in different places as well as with Regional Director and EMEA Senior Management. It oversees 3 countries, and has annual sales of over US$47MM. Responsibilities also include coordination and liaison with ADD Area Finance, ADC Finance, AMD Finance and the other divisions in the region.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all financial activity is completed in accordance with Abbott policies and procedures as well as local laws and regulations.

  • Manage, consolidate and report the financial results each month for the Eastern countries, ensuring proper timeliness, accuracy and insightful analytics.

  • Ensure growth and talent development of Finance staff.

  • Provide leadership and day to day support to the countries for Actuals, S&OP, LRP, LBE, etc.

  • Provide financial and strategic support to local/ regional Commercial Heads & management and Regional Controller in daily operations and in all other Financial process to Senior Management in ADD

  • Complete monthly S&OP process with each country, ensuring a proper preparation of Area S&OP review, consolidation of regional results, presentation of results, insights and future action.

  • Manage Order Entry Team for both countries

  • Work to continually provide process improvements that benefit both/either our regions or HQ and provide improved profitability/cost effectiveness.

Educational background

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting. MBA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA desirable

Requirements / Work experience

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience within various roles in Controlling Department.

  • Minimum 3 years of international experience either abroad or dealing with multiple countries. Regional and Consolidation experience is a must as well as capabilities to interact with people from different cultures.

  • Outstanding leadership, analytical, communication and presentation skills. Capabilities to challenge status quo and develop innovative processes and solutions.

  • Must have excellent system skills, attitude and experience, especially with Essbase Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Fluent in English. Multiple languages are desired (Polish, Czech)

  • Previous successful experience supervising/managing staff is desired.

  • Ability to successfully work with senior executives and provide sound strategic guidance regarding business opportunities and challenges.

  • Experienced in leading and motivating a team in a challenging environment and ensuring the team achieves their professional goals and site objectives.
