Project Management Office Regional Manager (Warsaw office)

POSITION SUMMARRY: The Project Management Office Regional Manager is accountable for leading the Regional Project Management Office (PMO) and Governance focused on enhancing program and project management capabilities and operational oversight to increase the risk adjusted return on the Marsh business and project portfolio. The position will report to Divisional PMO and Governance Leader with a matrix reporting into the Regional Operations & Technology Leader.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program and project delivery – ensure appropriate project resource allocation, provide progress reporting and oversee execution of active projects within region in accordance with global standards.

Standards, tools & knowledge management – provide leverage, mentoring, and coaching to project managers within region in accordance with global standards. Define, develop and deploy standardized tools and templates.

Portfolio management – manage project request, screening, selection and spend authorization for region in accordance with global standards.

Operational governance – design and maintain approval and delegation procedures as well as governance and operating forums and tools within region in accordance with global standards. Ensure adequate visibility into major work efforts.

Post implementation review – evaluate completed projects to assess if they achieved intended outcomes Review performance – conduct surveys, gather data and review KPIs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Professional Standards : Qualification in recognized project management discipline i.e. PMI or Prince 2 Experience: Min 7 years in project management with an excellent understanding of insurance business , operations and systems with the senior management experience. Education: MA or Bachelor degree in in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems or other quantitative discipline such as Engineering preferred.

Good understanding of program/project knowledge areas in the context of business, operations and systems interactions

Fluency in English

Proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office

Strong influencing skills; ability to effectively engage senior management in discussions

Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with the stakeholders

Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and presentation

Strong interpersonal skills: goal-oriented and independent

Ability to meet tight deadlines

Critical thinking and problem solving

Detailed understanding or qualification in change management as a strong plus

Perfect candidate should also be certified in Lean/SixSigma improvement methodology. Understands process management and operational excellence methodologies. WE OFFER:
