Job Description

Project Manager – Senior

Leisure Products (Shop Holidays & WS Holidays) team is looking for an ambitious, highly motivated professional to join our growing European group. The team is focused on delivering solutions for leisure travels, vacation tours, etc. You will have an opportunity to cooperate with young, committed team spread between two European locations, with good atmosphere, working in modern technologies and delivering a completely new platform.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Under general direction, oversees enterprise software system projects and/or customer deliverables

  • Ensures customer satisfaction of information technology solutions by managing the details of overall project schedules and deliverables

  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery and plans/manages schedule, scope, issue and risk

  • Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints

  • Plans and directs schedules and budgets

  • Develops and manages the project plan, including project scope, development/delivery schedule, resource requirements and integration efforts

  • Develops and manages a communication plan to include content, frequency, audience and channels

  • Works with management staff to establish appropriate project structure and staffing plans and participates in the staffing process

  • Sets goals, objectives and priorities; assigns and reviews work, resolves conflict

  • Interfaces with the customer, internal or external, regarding project deliverables

  • Ensures that approved methods, processes and tools are consistently used, include change, issue risk and quality management

  • Familiar with Product Life Cycle: working knowledge of phases of the product life cycle, including engineering specifications, customer requirements gathering, software design and development, testing - including unit, functional, systems and integration implementation/delivery and maintenance

  • Cooperates with distributed European team (main offices are located in Poland and Germany) on daily basis

  • Helping the team to incorporate requirements into developer level user stories (Agile methodology)

  • Assists in identifying, evaluating and developing effective procedures to fulfill quality and delivery goals, improve overall effectiveness of the team

  • May provide functional and business practice recommendations and direction to less experienced project managers

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in Software Development industry

  • Minimum 3 years related experience managing discrete deliverables or full life cycles of small projects

  • Very good command of English – oral and written

  • Possess and applies a knowledge of project management principals, practices and procedures

  • Proven leadership skills, a solid facilitator

  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and be accountable for actions and decisions

  • Ability to explain complex requirements in clear and understandable manner and to perform systems analysis

  • Communicative, detail oriented, analytical thinking

  • Excellent team work, ability to work in virtual (distributed, international) teams

  • Good at multitasking, manages multiple projects workload

  • Willingness to work using Agile methodologies, experience with Scrum framework will be a big plus

  • PMP, Scrum Master certificate would be a plus
