Job Description

Associate Java Developer

The Security Systems team is responsible for delivering applications that handle Sabre’s Enterprise Identity and Access Management, Authentication, Authorization, Single-Sign-On and Session Management needs for all Sabre’s customers across all Business Units (BUs). These applications are the engines behind direct customer facing applications like Sabre Web Services (SWS), eServices and Sabre Dev Studio and undergo enhancements for airline cutovers. Because we support all business units in Sabre, the selected candidate will quickly become a valuable asset to the team and the company.

In our day-to-day operation we employ variety of technologies including J2EE technologies such as Tomcat, JBoss, spring, JMS, XML, JAXB. Identity Management applications are built on Oracle Identity Manager, part of the Oracle Identity Governance Suite. Session Management applications are built on Couchbase platform. SSO technologies used are SAML, OpenToken and CA SiteMinder.

You will:

• Develop, code, test and debug moderately complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity

• Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them

• Resolve customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements

• Create and assist in development of software technical documentation

• Conduct necessary testing before implementation.

Job Requirements

‘Must have’ skills:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering

  • Programming experience in Java

  • Experience with Spring, HTTP, Maven

  • Ability to create database queries

  • Excellent analysis and problem solving skills

  • Analytical thinking

  • Strong team player, able to work with distributed global teams

  • Understands, interprets and translates engineering requirements into the necessary designs, documentation, and user stories.

‘Nice to have’ skills:

  • Experience in JMS, server side products

  • Knowledge of web technologies and tools (ex. Apache, Tomcat)

  • Good communication skills in English, written and verbal

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and work in a fast pace environment

  • Some knowledge of Websphere MQ is a plus
