Based in Krakow and looking for 30 IT infrastructure professionals to start a shared service operation. NETWORK DATA ADMINS NEEDED m/f, based at our new IT Shared Service hub in Krakow/Zabierzow, Poland.

Technical Highlights: MPLS network with broadband backup. All Cisco equipment – routing, switching, WAN acceleration. Policy based routing with tiered QOS

What Will You Do? Your role is to maintain and support network hardware and software systems to ensure efficient and highly available communications for data and voice applications over company networks. This includes the support and configuration of enterprise-class network platforms from Cisco Systems to include routing and switching systems, wireless network components, WAN optimization platforms and network security devices. You will provide support for company voice and data network communications circuits and ensure rapid resolution of trouble tickets opened with service providers in response to failures and degraded conditions through escalations and account team involvement. Responsibilities of this role will also include the configuration of standard network infrastructure components and providing documentation and remote assistance to facilitate installation by local non-IT personnel. Network management and monitoring applications will be used to identify network availability and high-utilization events, as well as to verify the health and reachability of key infrastructure components. The role will function as the primary conduit to the help desk by providing live user assistance on calls relayed from the help desk and by creating new assignments when assistance from other IT teams is required to achieve a resolution.

  • Voice and Data Network Support (60%)

  • Provide team help desk coverage

  • Accept and resolve support tickets
  • Initiate support tickets with service providers to resolve issues and circuit failures
  • Initiate service requests with vendors providing hardware maintenance contracts
  • Provide on call support on a rotating basis

  • Build, Maintain and Optimize Network Hardware and Software Systems (20%)

  • Configure and install routing and switching platforms

  • Configure and install wireless network infrastructure components
  • Deploy equipment code upgrades for all supported devices
  • Conduct wireless network surveys
  • Configure and install voice system components and telephones
  • Configure and install WAN optimization systems
  • Monitor and maintain Quality-of-Service mechanisms to provide application prioritization
  • Implement voice and data network circuits and upgrades

  • Network Management (20%)

  • Utilize NMS applications to monitor network health

  • Update NMS application inventories for device adds and removals
  • Utilize NMS applications to provide reports that illustrate network availability and performance
  • Identify network availability issues and initiate actions to obtain resolution

What You Need To Succeed

  • 3+ years network experience
  • Experience with CISCO hardware and software solutions
  • Skilled in VPN, LAN and WAN technologies in a large enterprise environment
  • Degree preferred
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Must be prepared to work in 24/7 shift pattern + potential on call duty
