What will you make with IBM?

  • Install & support the server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities

  • Manage the operating system configuration

  • Manage file systems and print queues

  • Monitor and maintain operating system log files

  • Recommend operating system updates and configuration modification

  • Apply operating system patches as required

  • Maintain tools for remote management and alert monitoring

  • Maintain the hardware and software configuration server information

  • Manage System ID’s and domain structure

Requirements:

  • Unix/Linux skills supported by 2-3 years experience

  • Working in a production environment is appreciated

  • Knowledge in one of the following technologies:

I. Linux

  • Knowledge of RHEL/SUSE

  • Linux LVM

  • Cluster solutions (Linux heartbeat, RHCS)

  • VMWare ESX is a plus

II. AIX

  • Knowledge of AIX 5.3/6.1/7.1

  • Virtualization: LPARs, WPARs, Virtual I/O Server, HMC

  • AIX Logical Volume Manager

  • PowerHA 5.x, 6.1

III. Solaris

  • Knowledge of OS Solaris 9,10

  • Virtualization: Zone/Containers, LDOMs

  • Solaris Volume Manager/Veritas Volume Manager

  • Sluster solutions (SUN Cluster/Veritas Cluster Server)
