Amazon.com Loss Prevention Specialist (m/w) in Bielany Wroclawskie, Poland

We are looking for a motivated and talented member to join our local Loss Prevention Team in WROCLAW.

The Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key high level hourly associate position in the Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs). The Loss Prevention Specialist leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset (lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, & intellectual property) protection in a designated fulfillment center. The LP Specialist reports to the Loss Prevention Manager responsible for their facility, and aids them in supporting the FC Operational team, and the cross functional teams throughout the organization.

Security & Loss Prevention Specialist – Responsibilities and Tasks

Physical security

  • Conduct PS audits

  • Act as POC for PS-related issues for GSO and VARs

  • Troubleshooting PS systems (LENEL, CAMIQ, VISION, etc.)

  • Review and improvement of PS systems

Personnel security

  • Train small groups in security topics

  • Advisor for personnel security matters

Security management

  • Represent S&LP in Leadership meetings

  • Participate in selection of new contract security personnel

  • Provide advice and guidance to contract security personnel

  • Communicate with security service provider

  • Communication of security related topics to all relevant stakeholders

  • Create metrics and reports

  • Lead S&LP projects with limited scale or scope

  • Participate in large projects

Resilience

  • Review and continuously improve S & LP processes

  • Identify and communicate S & LP risks in ops processes

  • Act as POC in case of critical events

  • Administer SWN lists

Investigation

  • Conduct preliminary analysis and subsequent investigation of losses

  • Effectively use resources for data mining, CCTV and other surveillance for purposes of loss analysis and investigations

  • Conduct forensic interviews based on analytical results

  • Conduct interviews in case of policy violations

  • Report investigation results

  • Act as POC for law enforcement authorities

Essential

  • Fluent polish language level

  • Oral and written English skills (Toefl)

  • Knowledge of PS systems at medium user level

  • High interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues correctly and clearly to all levels within the Amazon organization and to external partners

  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team goals

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with off-site supervision

  • Flexibility to work in shifts and on weekends according to the business needs

  • Availability for travel

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred

  • Experience in training of small groups

  • 2+ years’ experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, supply chain security or other related field

  • Bachelor degree or higher

  • Awareness and implementation of best practices related to the utilization of physical security systems, investigation techniques, effective oversight of contract security officers, and distribution center loss mitigation techniques

  • Familiarity with dbases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, Access, knowledge of Amazon internally used tools is a plus

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts desired and certification

  • 1+ years´ experience in project management

  • Formal investigation training certification (Wicklander/Zulawski, Reid or equivalent) is a plus

  • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services
